A. No. Once you have enjoyed the introduction a number of times, you are able to bypass this stage by clicking the mouse at any time.
Q. Why does my display appear to be a little sluggish?
A. Your machine speed is too slow or you are not running the program in 256 colour mode.
Q. Why does my sound occasionally pause and seem to be jittery?
A. If your CD-Rom drive is double speed only, it is likely that the drivers associated are outdated and are not able to support a smooth reading of the CD-Rom. It is recommended that you obtain updated drivers for the CD-Rom from the manufacturer.
Q. Occasionally, when I am viewing a video of a submersible sequence, a white screen or thin white line appears on the image. What is this?
A. What you are seeing is the camera's optical reaction to a powerful flash whilst photographer Ralph White is taking still photos for the mission.
Q. Why do the video sequences appear a little grainy?
A. To ensure comfortable speed of loading the many images and sounds, it is recommended to run the display in 256 colour mode. This causes a slight coarseness to video sequences. However, if you have a very fast machine (Pentium 133 MHz) you may enjoy a finer image by selecting 24 bit colour.
